• 2 cups of flour
  • 1 bar of butter
  • ¾ cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 drop of oil
  • Optional: fruits and honey

  1. In a large bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
  2. Pour in the milk, little by little, while you mix the ingredients.
  3. Add the butter. I recommend to warm it a little bit before, so it gets liquid.
  4. Add the vanilla and the eggs. Mix it well!
  5. In a hot pan, add oil so the arepas don’t stick! Add ¼ cup of the mixture per arepa and cook both sides!
  6. Serve with fruits and honey.
